About Mulch
Mulch helps retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, regulate soil temperature, and improve garden aesthetics. The recommended depth is 2-4 inches for most applications - too thin won't suppress weeds effectively, too thick can suffocate plant roots. One cubic yard covers approximately 162 sq ft at 2 inches deep, 108 sq ft at 3 inches, or 81 sq ft at 4 inches. For bulk orders (over 3 cubic yards), delivery is usually more economical than bags. Refresh mulch annually as it decomposes.
