How Fuel Cost is Calculated

For US units: Fuel needed (gallons) = Distance (miles) / Fuel efficiency (MPG). For metric: Fuel needed (liters) = Distance (km) / 100 x Consumption (L/100km). Total cost = Fuel needed x Price per unit. Tips: Maintain proper tire pressure, avoid aggressive driving, and use cruise control to improve fuel efficiency.
