Cooking Measurement Tips

Accurate measurements are crucial in baking. Volume measurements (cups, tablespoons) can vary depending on how ingredients are packed. For the most precise results, use weight measurements (grams) especially for flour, sugar, and butter. Note that US cups (236 mL) differ from metric cups (250 mL). When converting between volume and weight, the density of the ingredient matters - 1 cup of flour weighs about 120g, while 1 cup of sugar weighs about 200g.
